Find out what key the original song is in. Find out what key you want it in. Calculate the interval between the two keys.
Keep it neat and symmetrical. 3 to 4 barlines per line and make sure the barlines match vertically down the page. Account for all the beats in the bar.
Alcohol and caffeine which both dehydrate the throat and system. It’s fine in moderation but only accompanied by lots of water. Any medicated lozenges or sprays which numb the vocal folds or pharynx (ie. Difflam, Strepsils). Smoking (especially dope which burns at a higher temperature than tobacco)… don’t even think about P!
