“Aurere” Reviewed by Air New Zealand Magazine

“She has a very interesting style… you just know it’s from New Zealand. It has so many New Zealand-isms in it. Very engaging. She has a very good voice and she has written herself lyrics and given herself a whole message that she has such conviction with. This is a very ambitious record. She doesn’t hold back in the lyric-writing. It’s quite a lot to take on board but it really works. She moves between modes really easily and has a very solid bass/bottom end. I found it really emotive. There’s a lot of taboo topics on this album but I found myself listening to the lyric and listening to her attitude and listening to what she had to say really intently and enjoying what I was hearing” – Manu Taylor, National Radio “Aurere showcases her marvelous voice and her terrific band. It’s complexity and sheer charisma demand your full attention” Air New Zealand Magazine, April 2005
